Paltrin L.L.C. (“Paltrin,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a smart home and HVAC monitoring platform designed to deliver insights into environmental conditions, energy usage, and device performance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our mobile or web application (the “App”), and describes the rights you have with respect to that information.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

1.1 Account Information

• Name and email address (collected via Firebase Authentication)

1.2 Device and Sensor Data

• Temperature, humidity, and air quality readings
• HVAC performance and operational metrics
• Energy usage data from integrated devices (e.g., Emporia, SmartThings, Kasa)

1.3 Usage Data

• App interactions, session diagnostics, and performance telemetry
• Device type, operating system, and app version

1.4 Push Notification Preferences

If you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to deliver alerts related to HVAC anomalies, energy thresholds, or other conditions you configure within the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data for the following purposes:

• Providing real-time monitoring dashboards and analytics
• Delivering push notifications and configurable alerts
• Maintaining and improving platform performance and reliability
• Enabling and sustaining integrations with connected third-party devices
• Diagnosing technical issues and improving user experience
• Complying with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the platform, such as cloud infrastructure (AWS), authentication services (Firebase), and database services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.: Service Providers

4. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure including AWS, Firebase, and associated database services
• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and industry-standard protocols
• Data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption methods
• We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information

No system is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@paltrin.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide you with the App’s services. Specifically:

• Account information is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request
• Device and sensor data is retained for up to 24 months to support historical analytics and trending features
• Usage and diagnostic data is retained for up to 12 months

You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time as described in Section 6 below.

6. Your Rights and Controls

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you: Access

• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions: Deletion
• Request that we provide your data in a portable, machine-readable format: Portability

Minnesota residents have rights under the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA), effective July 31, 2025. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We extend these rights to all users regardless of state of residence.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@paltrin.com. We will respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at info@paltrin.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Users

The App is intended for use within the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal bases for our processing of your personal information include: performance of a contract (to provide the App services), compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the platform.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or related to this Policy shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Sending an email to the address associated with your account, and/or
• Displaying a prominent notice within the App prior to the change taking effect

The “Last Revised” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently updated. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after the effective date of any update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
